DevOps Engineer with working experience in Banking domain at Compunet Connections

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us build functional systems that improve customer experience.

DevOps Engineer responsibilities include deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer needs. If you have a solid background in software engineering and are familiar with Ruby or Python, we’d like to meet you.

You will execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately and securely.

Responsibilities

• Implement integrations requested by customers
• Deploy updates and fixes
• Provide Level 2 technical support
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve the customer experience
• Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Develop scripts to automate visualization
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Requirements

• Work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
• Good knowledge of Ruby or Python
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL
• Problem-solving attitude
• Team spirit
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field

Job description 

• Should have hands-on experience in Banking domain.
• 4-5 years of experience in a position performing software development. Java, Spring Boot experience required.
• SQL, JavaScript experience preferred.
• Experience with AngularJS / Angular / React JS
• Must have the ability to learn Object Oriented Concepts and the concepts of a Software Development Life Cycle.
• Comfortable with various tools and frameworks used such as: Eclipse/IntelliJ, Spring / Spring Boot, AngularJS / Angular, Jenkins, SVN / GIT, Docker/Kubernetes REST / SOAP
• CI/CD tools Experience (e.g. Teamcity, Docker, Containers, Kubernetes)
• Understands the process of new application development and has the ability to apply these concepts with minimal mentoring and supervision.
• Must have the ability to learn to provide support & maintenance for simple to complex software applications.
• DevOps domain knowledge is a plus

Roles and Responsibilities

• Java 8 Developer with Very Strong Spring Boot experience in Banking domain.
• Strong technical skills for the Application implementation and enhancement.
• Coordinate with team members for production enhancement, support and maintenance
• Expertise in Spring boot must have and knowledge and experience on dockers, containers and Azure
• Enhancement of Spring boot based APIs, Rest Services
• Collaborate with Customer for new changes, maintenance and enhancements
• Regular meeting and metrics or other necessary status reporting for customer
• Debug in Azure and Docker as needed
• Full Stack Development experience is an added advantage.
