We are looking for an experienced Jira Administrator with a strong background in the banking domain to manage, configure, and optimize our Atlassian tools ecosystem. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting project delivery teams, ensuring effective governance, and driving process efficiency using Jira and Confluence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence environments.
- Configure workflows, custom fields, permissions, issue types, screens, and dashboards.
- Manage user access, groups, roles, and security schemes in line with organizational policies.
- Integrate Jira with other tools (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub, Slack, Jenkins, ServiceNow, Power BI).
- Support Agile and DevOps teams in implementing Jira best practices for Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
- Develop and maintain automation rules to streamline recurring tasks.
- Generate and maintain reports and dashboards for management and project tracking.
- Perform data migration, backup, and upgrade activities when needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA, and IT security teams to ensure Jira supports enterprise processes.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with banking IT governance and audit requirements.
- Provide end-user training and support across departments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in Jira Administration (Data Center or Cloud versions).
- Proven experience in banking or financial services domain.
- Strong knowledge of Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Service Management).
- Experience with Jira automation, REST APIs, and scripting (Groovy / ScriptRunner / Power Scripts).
- Familiarity with Agile and ITSM methodologies.
- Experience with user provisioning and SSO integration (LDAP/AD, Okta, etc.).
- Good understanding of governance, compliance, and change management in regulated environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
