KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES

Core Responsibility
  • Perform end to end solution building for banking product journeys using Pega Platform
  • Work with senior IT members in the evaluation of solution designs & solution architecture
  • Accountable for adhering to enterprise architecture standards, ensuring integration technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization and contributing to architecture strategy-setting. Continually works to enhance breadth and depth of knowledge and experience
  • Define project-level application architectures in line with business area guidelines and strategies
  • Define detailed technical designs usable by project team programmers. Review code developed by Developers to ensure code is consistent with architecture design. Troubleshoots, recommends, and executes action plans for issue resolution
  • Selects and designs tools that allow reuse of design components and patterns between projects. Develops actual working solutions or prototypes based on their own designs and resolves any issues that arise
  • Provide day-to-day technical direction to project team while prioritizing and resolving technical issues affecting and deliverables, escalating technical issues when required. Facilitates project handoffs including preparing documentation, educating, and supporting to ensure smooth transitions
  • Collaborating with other members of the Enterprise Architecture team on many fronts, including: design evaluation, architecture patterns, Integration approaches, …etc
  • Leading Pega development team in order to deliver the Pega solutions
  • Prototype design solution options and collect technical feedback from various IT and business teams
  • Self-drive meetings and workshop to complete the desired solution or architecture
  • Evaluate existing APIs for fitting purpose to an existing project or solution.
  • Ability to explain the reasoning behind the architectural decision based on enterprise and industry best practices
  • Identify and deliver best practices, re-useable components and process optimization.
  • Setup the development governance framework for Pega Platform

We are looking for a full-time Pega Lead Architect with PCLSA certification to work on key solution designs and solution architecture focused on Digital Banking

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent area

EXPERIENCE

Years of Experience

  • 8-12+ years of progressively more responsible work experience in a technical & architecture discipline within the financial and banking sector. Minimum 7 Years using Pega platform

Nature of 

Experience

  • MUST be a Pega Certified Lead System Architect - PCLSA
  • Strong understanding of Pega Implementation Methodology
  • Expertise with API’s and designing enterprise wide systems to meet the needs of the business
  • Experience developing and Integration with SOAP, JMS, or Restful services leveraging one or more of the following: ESQL, Java, JavaScript, Spring, Groovy, Spring Boot, XML, JSON, GIT and YAML. 
  • Hands on experience in Integration security patterns, including, WS security, B2B patterns, JWT token, IPS, SSL certificates and message signing.
  • Excellent conceptual drawing skills using the common architects drawing tools, such as Visual Paradigm and VISIO
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of an organization and to work both independently and in various team settings
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage client expectations effectively
  • Display technical leadership.
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages.
  • Proficiency using versioning tools.
  • Proficiency using debugging tools.
  • Proficiency using standard desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools such as Visio.
  • Lifelong learner and practitioner of new technologies in alignment with IT strategies
  • Experience and understanding with unit testing, release procedures, coding, design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures.
  • Practitioner of Project Management Methodologies (e.g. waterfall, iterative, agile discipline)
  • Knowledge in Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) software engineering practices
  • Knowledge in defining extensible architectures that can be built by project team incrementally
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proficiency in creating architecture, green-field and redesign, and communicate the same to project team
  • Critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
